Ludhiana: A 16-year-old girl has accused her employer and his friend of sexually exploiting her repeatedly. The assaults reportedly resulted in the minor becoming pregnant. After the girl gave birth to a child at her home on March 5, the family lodged a complaint with the police following which an FIR was lodged. The Ludhiana police have registered a case against both accused. The FIR was lodged on the complaint of the girl’s mother.
In her complaint to police, the woman said her daughter was working at the shop of one of the accused and on March 5, she complained of severe pain in the abdomen after which the mother got some medicine for her daughter. Hours later, her daughter gave birth to a baby boy at home.The mother claimed that before that she was unaware that her daughter was pregnant. The woman added that when she questioned her daughter about it, the minor said her employer and his friend had been sexually assaulting her. The investigating officer said soon after receiving the complaint, the police lodged an FIR against the accused under sections 64 (rape), and 351 (2) (criminal intimidation) of the BNS and Section 4 of the Prevention of Children from Sexual Offences (Pocso) Act. Raids are being conducted to arrest the accused.
