Divisional Railway Manager of NER Varanasi division, Ashish Jain on Wednesday felicitated 16 railway employees with Excellence Awards, for their remarkable contributions in the fields of safety, security and revenue enhancement for the month of Feb. The DRM said the topmost priority of Indian Railways is to ensure the safety and security of passengers. Working in this direction, various departments of the division — operations, engineering, signal & telecommunication, accounts, stores, electrical, security, commercial and safety — have achieved remarkable accomplishments through coordinated efforts. During the programme, certificates of commendation and awards were presented to those employees who, averted accidents and ensured the safety of railway property and passengers, by demonstrating vigilance, quick decision-making ability and dedication to duty.
