Srinagar, Oct 3: The Jammu and Kashmir Police have transferred 16 Inspectors to the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) with immediate effect, officials said.

According to an order issued by Police Headquarters (PHQ), the transfers have been made “in the interest of administration” and to strengthen the anti-graft body.

Eight Inspectors posted in different police wings, including CID, Crime Branch and various police zones, have been transferred to the ACB. They include Showkat Ahmad, Hilal Ahmad Parray, Shabaz Bashir, Ibrar Ahmad Lone, Tahir Bashir Bhat, Imtiyaz Ahmad Mir, Rajinder Kumar and Pankaj Singh.

The order also modified an earlier transfer directive issued in June. The transfers of eight Inspectors under Order No. 1798 of 2026, dated June 16, have been cancelled and they have now been transferred to the ACB.

The personnel have been directed to be relieved forthwith, with their services placed at the disposal of the Director, ACB, for further duties.
