Aakash, a student of class 10, was allegedly dealing with mental health issues, cops said

Gurgaon: A 15-year-old student was found hanging at a staff quarter inside the premises of a private school in the Farrukhnagar area.Aakash, a student of class 10, was allegedly dealing with mental health issues, cops said.His father worked at the same school as a peon, while his mother was employed with a private company in the city. The family, hailing from Chhapra district in Bihar, lived in the staff quarters inside the school premises.According to cops, on Monday evening, when Aakash’s mother returned home around 6pm, she found him hanging with a dupatta tied around his neck. Cops were alerted immediately, the body was taken into custody and shifted to the mortuary for autopsy.“The family stated that the boy was under mental stress. The exact reason behind the incident is yet to be ascertained,” a senior police officer said.Inquest proceedings under Section 194 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita have been initiated.In another incident, a 26-year-old man died by suicide in the Udyog Vihar area. Satyam, a native of Katsila village in Uttar Pradesh’s Chandauli district, lived in Dundahera and worked at a private company.Police said he hanged himself at his residence on Monday evening. A woman living in the neighbourhood noticed the incident and informed the police.No suicide note was recovered from the spot. Further investigation is underway.
