Prayagraj: A 14-year-old boy and student of class VIIth identified as Ritik, a resident of Dandi drowned into river Yamuna at Saripur ghat under the limits of Ghurpur police station on Monday.After an hour of hardwork, his body was fished out. Police said that the boy along with his parents had come to offer prayers at Goddess Shitla Maa Dham at Saripur and slipped into river while bathing. Police said that boy entered into deep water zone of river and drowned.The swimmers and locals present on ghat managed to take the boy out from river and brought him at the nearest community health centre where he was declared dead on arrival.
