Kanpur: A 14-year-old boy died under suspicious circumstances in Vipausi village under Maharajpur police station here on Friday.Police sent Satyam’s body for post-mortem examination, while a forensic team inspected the scene and collected evidence. Police said the case is being investigated from all angles and further action would depend on the post-mortem report, evidence and any complaint filed by his father.Family members said Satyam returned home around 5 pm on Thursday after bringing flour from a mill. He complained of stomach pain and lay on a cot. When he did not get up for a long time, his mother found his condition serious. He was taken to a hospital where doctors declared him dead.Police were informed through Dial-112 on Friday morning. Sunhaila police outpost in charge Praveen Kumar said the police prepared an inquest report and sent the body for post-mortem after finding the circumstances suspicious.Satyam’s father, Sarvesh Nishad, works for a private company and lives away from the village. He said a neighbour called him around 6 am and informed him of his son’s death. He was told only that Satyam had suffered a head injury and that ice had been applied.Sarvesh demanded an investigation to establish what had happened to his son. Police said the family has not yet submitted a written complaint.Sarvesh and his wife have three sons: Satyam (14), Shivam (10) and Sundaram (8). His wife lives with the children in Vipausi village.
