Kanpur: A 13-year-old girl was allegedly raped while going to a field in the Musanagar police station area of Kanpur Dehat. Police have registered a case against a youth from the same village and started an investigation based on a complaint filed by the victim’s mother.The incident occurred on Wednesday evening. The girl, was going to the field. A youth from the same village forcibly grabbed her and raped her.After the incident, the girl reached home and told the incident to her family members. When the family members went to complain at the accused’s house, they alleged that the accused’s family members abused and assaulted them. Following this, the victim’s mother gave a written complaint to the police.Police station in-charge of Musa Nagar Reena Gautam stated that, based on the complaint, a case was registered under rape and the SC/ST Act on Thursday. “The victim was sent for medical examination and further investigation into the matter is ongoing,” she added.
