Nagpur: After 49 days, two extensions and a district-wide exercise involving 4,610 Booth Level Officers (BLOs), the enumeration phase of Special Intensive Revision (SIR) will conclude on Monday, which is the last day to submit enumeration forms. The district administration has distributed 99.96% of forms and completed 68.45% digitisation.Nagpur district has 46.38 lakh voters. As per the data available on Sunday, 46,36,685 of 46,38,589 forms have been distributed across the district. Of these, 31,74,954 have been digitised, while another 1,27,150 (or 2.74%) are in the “not digitised” category. Another 16,273 electors have submitted forms themselves online.A substantial part of the electorate has meanwhile moved into the uncollectable pool. The latest report lists forms for 13,36,485 voters, or 28.81%, as uncollectable. Such voters may face deletion, said officials, adding that the category includes cases where electors were found absent, shifted or deceased (ASD), among other reasons, and these will undergo due verification before any final decision on deletion of their names.Overall, 97.26% of Nagpur’s electorate has been accounted for under SIR — 68.45% through digitised forms and 28.81% categorised as uncollectable.Election officials said the final push is now centred on collecting forms, completing pending digitisation and cross-checking electors who could not be traced during BLO visits. “At this stage, our priority is to ensure that every eligible elector who can still be contacted gets an opportunity to submit the form. BLOs are following up on pending cases and the assistance of BLAs and local representatives is also being taken wherever required,” a senior election official said.“The draft roll is an important stage because electors will be able to see their status and raise claims wherever necessary. Being categorised during the enumeration exercise does not by itself mean that a voter’s name has been deleted,” an official said.Within Nagpur district, Umred leads digitisation at 84.18%, followed by Katol at 82.36% and Ramtek at 80.85%. In the city, Nagpur East leads at 63.19%, while Nagpur West remains the lowest at 58.46%.For voters, however, Monday’s deadline is not the end of the revision process. The draft electoral roll is scheduled for publication on Aug 24, after which electors can check whether their names have been included and use the claims-and-objections window where required. Sources said a third extension is highly unlikely as most of the districts have completed over 95% of verification in the SIR drive.SIR FORM STILL PENDING?
