T’puram: As part of Operation D-Hunt, a special drive was conducted across the state on Monday and 1,211 people suspected of being involved in drug trafficking were checked. Police arrested 48 people and registered 43 cases for possession of various types of prohibited drugs.Police seized deadly drugs such as MDMA (0.03088kg), cannabis (0.16073kg) and cannabis bidis (30 pieces) from them.There is a 24-hour anti-narcotics control room to receive information about drug trafficking.
