Nagpur: A 12-year-old boy, reported missing by his mother, was traced and reunited with family within just two hours of complaint being lodged, thanks to prompt action by Wathoda police.According to police, the minor’s mother lodged a complaint with Wathoda police station around 6.15pm on Thursday saying her 12-year-old son had not returned home after venturing out on Wednesday afternoon. Duty officer PSI Krishna Salunkhe immediately informed senior officers, who circulated the information to control room and Nagpur Rural police.The boy was last seen around noon near Tajbagh boarding a vehicle heading towards ‘Amma ka dargah’ at Kanhan under Kanhan police station limits in Nagpur Rural area. This lead came from a security guard at Tajbagh after the mother made inquiries.Acting swiftly, Wathoda police alerted control room and also Kanhan police station. A team led by PSI Swapnil Raut was immediately dispatched to the spot for search operations. The team located the boy at Kanhan around 8.15pm the same evening. He was later reunited with family. The entire operation was carried out under the guidance of deputy commissioner of police, Zone 5, Niketan Kadam.
