Kanpur: A 12-year-old boy died during treatment at a private hospital in Chunniganj here, while his family alleged negligence by the hospital management and demanded an FIR against doctor. The family created an uproar at the hospital and later met the police commissioner, seeking registration of a case. Mohd Rashid, a resident of Gurusahay Ganj, Kannauj, said his 12-year-old son Arsalan, who was suffering from TB, was taken to a chest clinic in Arya Nagar on Mar 29. Later, on the advice of doctors, Arsalan was admitted to a private hospital in Chunniganj. “My son was admitted after we paid Rs 5,000 as advance to the hospital. He took dinner and continued to talk normally with family members,” said Mohd Rashid. The Colonelganj police station incharge said the matter was being investigated.
