A parent from Jejuri said his daughter has been worried since Friday, when the Class X results were declared and she was unable to access it online

Pune: As many as 117 students are worried because they do not know their Class X results even though it was declared on Friday. The state board will upload their SSC marksheets only by Tuesday evening since these were withheld because of some technical glitches, said officials.

However, the results held back owing to students’ involvement in malpractices will not be declared yet, officials added.

A parent from Jejuri said his daughter has been worried since Friday, when the Class X results were declared and she was unable to access it online. “It was shocking… to open the result website, enter her seat number and see ‘no candidate’ written there. I immediately left for Pune. I enquired at the divisional office. At first, they said there was no candidate with that seat number. After I showed them the hall ticket and told them to check the CCTV cameras, they looked and said there must have been a technical error. They told me to return the next day,” said the parent.

He went back on Saturday around 11am and got his daughter’s result at 6pm. “It was given printed on a paper with a seal and stamp. The officials said it would be uploaded around noon on Monday, but it is still not visible online. My daughter hasn’t eaten well due to anxiety,” he added.

A parent from Bhosari said they were awaiting their daughter’s results which showed ‘reserved’ when checked online. “She was not involved in any cheating case. We wrote to the official email ID of the state board, but there was no response. We called the school principal, who spoke to the board officials. The latter said it is a technical issue and would be resolved on Monday. However, we are yet to get the result. It is stressful for all of us. The other children know their marks and are feeling free. My daughter continues to feel tense ever since the board announced the results on Friday,” said the mother of the SSC student.

State board officials said they had received no objection certificates from all divisional boards to declare the results. “There was either some error or missed data due to which these 117 results were kept reserved. It will be declared in a day or two. This is apart from the ones kept reserved because of alleged involvement in malpractices. There will be a hearing for students in the latter category. Their results will be declared as per the hearing,” said Trigun Kulkarni, chairperson, Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education.
