Kolkata: A man accused of abducting and sexually assaulting a minor in Uttar Pradesh in 2015 was arrested in Tangra after over a decade. Ranjit Singh is now married to the same girl and the two has a school-going child. Singh was arrested by a team from Khoda PS in Ghaziabad, with help of KP. He is being taken to UP in connection to the pending case registered under charges, including abduction and offences, under Pocso Act. Police said the case dates back to 2015, when Singh allegedly took away a minor girl from Khoda Colony in Ghaziabad and married her. Her family lodged a complaint at Khora PS, accusing Singh of abducting her and sexually assaulting her. TNN
