Vadodara: Ten students from Vallabh Vidyanagar have reached Russia to participate in a three-week international summer programme that will provide advanced training in artificial intelligence (AI), information technology, economics and energy engineering.The students, from three constituent colleges of CVM University, are attending the programme at the Ural Federal University (UrFU) in Yekaterinburg under an academic collaboration between the two institutions.Apart from classroom sessions, the programme includes visits to leading companies and industrial plants, giving students practical exposure to emerging technologies and global industry practices. They will also interact with international faculty members and students from various countries before receiving an international certificate on successful completion of the programme.The 10-member delegation comprises four students from G H Patel College of Engineering and Technology (GCET), five from A D Patel Institute of Technology (ADIT) and one from MBIT.University officials said the programme has been organised under a memorandum of understanding (MoU) signed between CVM University and UrFU to promote global academic exposure and student mobility.As part of the preparations, CVM University provost Indrajit Patel had earlier visited the Russian university to review its academic infrastructure and finalise the programme. Before the students departed, he briefed them about Russia’s research ecosystem, advanced industrial infrastructure and technological capabilities, and encouraged them to maximise the learning opportunity by actively engaging with industries, participating in academic competitions and showcasing their talent on an international platform.
