Kanpur: A person was killed and another injured when a dumper hit their motorcycle near Kulgaon turn under Maharajpur police station on Thursday afternoon.Raj alias Harimohan (27), a farmer from Pipri Bambi in Narwal, died on the spot. His brother-in-law Badal (25), a resident of Bhadba in Fatehpur, suffered fractures in both legs and was undergoing treatment at Hallet in critical condition.Badal had returned home from Dubai and was scheduled to travel back on Thursday. Raj was taking him by motorcycle to Kanpur Central, from where he was to travel to Delhi before flying to Dubai.Family members said the dumper hit the motorcycle from behind near Kulgaon turn and fled the spot. Raj is survived by his father Krishna Kumar, mother Parvati, younger brother Nirbhay and wife.Maharajpur Station House Officer Janardan Singh said an FIR would be registered after a complaint was received.
