Bengaluru: Customs officials intercepted a passenger arriving from Bangkok and seized 1.7kg of hashish, also known as charas, cleverly concealed inside candy and sweet packets.During inspection of his baggage at Kempegowda International Airport Wednesday, officials found the packed boxes and opened them to find charas hidden within the packets. The seized contraband is estimated to be worth Rs 4.2 lakh. The passenger was arrested under provisions of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, 1985.
