Lucknow: A property dealer, whose body was stuffed into sacks and dumped on a deserted road in Bakshi Ka Talab (BKT), was killed over a dispute over ₹50,000, police said on Sunday after arresting two men and detaining a 14-year-old juvenile in connection with the case. One accused remains absconding. The victim, Arvind Kumar, a resident of Indira Nagar, was found dead on Oct 12 on an unpaved stretch near Acharamau village in BKT. Police said sacks were found near his head and feet, indicating an attempt to conceal the body.DCP North Zone Amit Kumar Anand said investigators cracked the case by analysing call detail records, technical evidence and local intelligence inputs. Police identified Aman Dhiman (24) as the main accused, alleging that he owed Kumar ₹50,000 and had been facing repeated demands for repayment.According to police, Kumar and Dhiman met on Oct 12 near a liquor shop in Koili Purwa and later went to a vacant plot in the Manas Green scheme area, accompanied by the juvenile. The trio allegedly consumed alcohol, during which Kumar again pressed Dhiman to clear the debt. Dhiman reportedly offered ₹10,000 and asked for more time to pay the remaining amount, but an argument followed.Police alleged Dhiman attacked Kumar with a brick and concrete stones, and then, believing he was still alive, struck him with a hammer, killing him at the spot. Dhiman allegedly took the juvenile’s help to stuff the body into sacks, load it into a car and dump it in BKT.Investigators said the accused discarded Kumar’s mobile phone, washed the vehicle and sought help from an associate, Suraj Rawat, to dispose of the car. Rawat is currently absconding.Dhiman and Ravi Kumar Gautam (25) were arrested on Oct 17 when they allegedly returned to the area to destroy remaining evidence. Police said they recovered concrete stones, a brick fragment, a hammerhead, mobile phones and cash, and noted that Dhiman has a criminal history.
