Reddy said that, as per the Union MSME ministry, 4,520 MSMEs shut down in Andhra Pradesh between 2024-25 and June 30 this year, affecting units that employed 48,477 people. The data showed that 1,401 MSMEs closed in 2024-25, 2,407 in 2025-26 and another 712 during the first quarter of this financial year.
He further said that a reply by the commerce and industry ministry showed that only 10 investment proposals have been grounded in Andhra Pradesh over the past two years, which, according to him, fell far short of the projections and investment claims repeatedly made by the TDP government and Naidu.
Jagan Accuses State Govt of Social Media Curbs
YSRCP chief Jagan Mohan Reddy accused the TDP-led Andhra government of suppressing voices questioning the alleged DSC-2025 teachers recruitment scam by restricting or removing social media content critical of the government.
