Kanpur: A 25-year-old man was found dead near a railway track passing by Kharja canal in Dabauli West area of Kanpur late Saturday. The deceased was identified as Adarsh Sharma, a resident of Jarauli Phase-2, who worked as a helper on a tanker.Family members said Adarsh left home from Govind Nagar around 6pm, saying he was going to buy medicine for his mother. They alleged that he had also planned to meet his married girlfriend in Gujaini and had asked his sister not to disclose this to anyone.Later, passersby informed the police after spotting a body near the railway track. Police from Govind Nagar police station reached the spot and identified the deceased with the help of an ID card belonging to his friend found in his pocket.The family alleged that Adarsh had a relationship with a woman he met two years ago while working in a private factory. They claimed the woman got married six months ago and that earlier meetings between Adarsh and her had led to disputes with her husband. The family accused the woman’s husband of killing Adarsh. Govind Nagar station in-charge Rikesh Kumar said that a report would be registered based on the family’s complaint.tnn
