HyperOS 3 version based on Android 16 has been gradually rolling out to more regions but work on the next beta is also moving fast.

The Android 16-based HyperOS 3.1 beta is moving to more devices.

Xiaomi continues to work on the HyperOS 3 update for many users but it seems the company has already moved on to focus on the HyperOS 3.1 version in beta for some more devices. The Android 16-based update has been lagging behind the competition and we could see it launched with the latest Xiaomi 17 series which could be announced globally in the next few months.

The news about HyperOS 3.1 beta coming to more devices has been shared in a report by XiaomiTime even though Xiaomi is busy rolling out the stable version of HyperOS 3 for more users.

HyperOS 3.1 Beta For More Devices

The report has mentioned the new Xiaomi devices that are getting the HyperOS 3.1 beta update. It says the Xiaomi 14 Ultra and Redmi K80 Pro are the new additions to the list for the company along with the Xiaomi 15 series and some of the China-only models from the brand which includes the Xiaomi 17 Pro series models.

Xiaomi’s new HyperOS 3 update is trying its best to bring Apple-like features to the Android devices. One of them is called HyperIsland which seems inspired by the Dynamic Island notch we get on the iPhones these days. You will get live activities on the notched layer, along with details about the charging speed of your phone.

The other big change or addition will be AI-centric tools with Hyper AI. You get AI writing tools to help you change the writing style or even tones. It also will have AI-based speech recognition that will record, transcribe in real-time and give summaries as well.

More AI-centric features will be available in the photo gallery where you can enhance the search looking for food and other categories. There’s also dynamic wallpapers and lockscreen on offer with the HyperOS 3 version.

The HyperOS 3.1 version promises some more tweaks to the interface and better lockscreen support for the hyper island notifications across apps. It could also have better privacy tools and more integration with Apple devices.

The company is expected to bring the Xiaomi 17 series to the Indian market in the next few months, and going by most rumours, the 17 Pro and 17 Pro Max models will be missing from Xiaomi’s global lineup.
