Patna: A six-day exercise to revise and update textbooks and self-learning material for Bihar Board of Open Schooling and Examination (BBOSE) students in line with NEP 2020 and the National Curriculum Framework 2023 concluded at SCERT, Mahendru, on Saturday.Organised on the directive of education minister Mithilesh Tiwari, the workshop brought together SCERT-nominated teachers and subject experts to revise study material in line with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 and the National Curriculum Framework for School Education (NCF-SE) 2023.Conducted in three phases, the exercise covered language, pedagogy, social science, arts, commerce, science, mathematics, computer science, home science and business studies.Officials said the focus was on making the study material simpler, relevant, student-friendly and aligned with contemporary educational needs. Discussions centred on improving students’ understanding, logical thinking, creativity and practical learning.The initiative aimed to ensure that BBOSE students, who depend largely on self-learning material under the open-schooling system, have access to updated and high-quality study resources.BBOSE chief executive officer Vijay Kumar thanked the participating teachers and experts, saying the board remained committed to providing quality and updated learning material to open-school students.
