Bokaro: A 60-year-old woman and her 30-year-old son were found dead in separate bathrooms at their house in Cooperative Colony under City police station limits on Thursday, after neighbours alerted police to a foul smell from Plot No 67.Police identified the woman as Anita Devi and her son as Nitesh. Anita’s body was found in a ground-floor bathroom, while Nitesh was found in a bathroom on the first floor.Preliminary findings suggested Anita’s body had been lying in the bathroom for several days and had begun decomposing, while Nitesh’s death appeared more recent, indicating the two may have died at different times. Police noted signs suggesting starvation on Nitesh’s body and said he was reportedly mentally unwell.Officials said the exact causes and circumstances of the deaths will be known only after post-mortem examination and forensic reports. Investigators also learnt that electricity to the house had reportedly been disconnected for several days.
