Bokaro: A 48-year-old woman was allegedly robbed of her gold chain at gunpoint by two motorcycle-borne men during a morning walk near Bokaro Club under Sector 6 police station limits on Thursday.Yasmeen Nigar, a resident of Sector 5 Centre Market, was returning from Sector 5 library ground when two men on a red motorcycle overtook her and stopped ahead. One approached her on foot and allegedly demanded her chain.“When I said I would remove it myself, he snatched it from my neck,” Nigar said. She alleged that when she tried to raise an alarm, he pressed a pistol against her abdomen and threatened to kill her. “The stolen chain weighed around 10 grams,” she said.The men fled towards the library ground. Personnel from Sector 6 and Sector 1 police stations, along with City DSP Rajeev Ranjan, reached the spot after being informed.The incident has raised concerns among morning walkers, two days after another chain-snatching case was reported near Garga bridge. Ranjan said, “Efforts were on to arrest the accused at the earliest.”
