Chandrapur: A woman police personnel was killed on the spot after a truck collided head-on with her car near Valni turning point on the Mul-Chandrapur road around 6:30am on Monday.Vishakha Bansod, the deceased, was travelling to Chandrapur in her car to attend a refresher training course organised at the police headquarters. When she reached Valni Phata, a truck coming from the opposite direction crashed into her car with tremendous force, leaving the car severely mangled. Bansod died on the spot and the truck driver fled the scene, said officials.Earlier she was posted at Saoli police station, and was later transferred to Talodhi (Balapur). She was traveling to Chandrapur for training following her transfer when the fatal accident occurred.Ramnagar police station has registered a case and further investigation is underway.
