THANE: A fatal road crash in the Kharegaon area of Kalwa resulted in the death of a woman and left two others injured after a motorist lost control of his car while pulling out of a residential parking space on a narrow street. A case has been filed.According to police, the incident occurred when 31-year-old Abhishek Kadam was attempting to steer his four-wheeler out of a parking bay and abruptly lost command of the wheel.The car violently rammed into three to four oncoming and roadside-parked vehicles before ploughing into pedestrians. Passersby and local residents rushed the victims to a nearby hospital, where doctors declared the woman dead on arrival.Another victim sustained severe, critical injuries and remains under intensive medical care, while the third person received outpatient treatment for minor wounds, said senior police inspector Pratap Bhosale.
