Hyderabad: A 40-year-old labourer was bludgeoned to death by unidentified offenders at an open place in Dammaiguda under Jawaharnagar police station limits on Wednesday night.The victim, D Vijaya, 40, was a widow from Amangal in Mahbubnagar district. A few years ago, she migrated to Hyderabad along with her two children in search of livelihood and settled in Chennapuram.At 8.30 am on Wednesday, Vijaya left home for work and did not return. On Thursday morning, locals found her body lying in a pool of blood in an open place near a petrol pump in Dammaiguda.“Locals informed us. Our teams reached the spot. A CLUES team was called for collection of forensic evidence. The victim suffered a bleeding injury on the head and died on the spot. Unknown assailants attacked her with a blunt object,” ACP Jawaharnagar S Chakrapani said.On the complaint of the victim’s family, Jawaharnagar police registered a case under section 103 (1) (murder) of the BNS and shifted the body for postmortem. Four special teams have been formed to identify and arrest the accused.
