SHIVA KUMAR PINNAMahabubabad: A 20-year-old homemaker allegedly died by suicide after consuming rat poison, reportedly upset that her husband did not answer her video call on Sept 2. She underwent treatment at MGM Hospital in Warangal for six days before succumbing on Tuesday.The deceased, B Akhila of Mahabubabad town, had married B Hussain two years ago. Hussain is employed in the private banking sector, and the couple have a daughter. Akhila had recently visited her parents’ residence in Bollikonda village of Nekkonda mandal in Warangal district.According to police, Akhila made a video call to her husband to show him their daughter. However, he did not answer the call. Distressed by the lack of response, she took an extreme step after returning to her in-laws’ house in Mahabubabad.Mahabubabad town SI Md Basiruddin said a case had been registered and an investigation was underway. Following the post-mortem examination at MGM Hospital, the body was handed over to her family members.
