Pune: A 41-year-old woman died on her birthday after a crop thresher machine pulled her scarf and hair at her farm on Saturday at Kurungwadi village in Bhor taluka.The Rajgad police identified the woman as Shubhangi Raut of Kurungwadi.The police registered an accidental death case. An officer from the Rajgad police said Raut stayed with her family in Pune. On Saturday, the Raut family visited their farm at Kurungwadi for threshing of red lentils and peas.“The woman was standing near the thresher machine when her scarf and hair got stuck in the machine. Her relatives and workers at the farm took her to a hospital. Raut, however, succumbed to the injuries during treatment,” the officer said.He said Raut is survived by her husband, a son and a daughter. “Our investigations are on,” he said.
