Gurgaon: A case was registered on Thursday after a cab driver alleged she was stopped and assaulted by an unidentified motorcyclist on the Delhi-Jaipur Expressway.Police said the complainant, Rajni, a resident of Badarpur in Delhi, works as a cab driver in the Delhi-NCR region. In her complaint, she stated that the incident took place around 3.30am on Wednesday while she was travelling from Delhi to Gurgaon.Near Ambience Mall, a biker allegedly brought his motorcycle in front of her cab, forcing her to apply emergency brakes and stop the vehicle. Rajni alleged that the accused then began misbehaving with her. When she objected, he allegedly slapped her before fleeing the spot.A senior police officer said, “The incident reportedly took place on the Rajokri-Ambience Mall stretch. We are verifying the allegations and have registered a case based on the complaint. The accused has not been arrested yet.”Police said CCTV footage from cameras installed near the spot is being examined to identify the motorcycle registration number and trace the accused.The case has been registered under sections 115 (voluntarily causing hurt) and 126 (wrongful restraint) of BNS at DLF Phase-3 police station.
