Mumbai: BKC police have booked a woman for allegedly submitting 10 forged academic documents, including mark sheets and certificates of BSc Biochemistry and MSc Biochemistry, to the University of Mumbai for verification.The case was registered on Tuesday on a complaint filed by Mumbai University officials after they found the certificates forged. Police were yet to make an arrest.
The FIR was registered on a complaint by Vikas Daware, an assistant registrar in the university’s examination and evaluation department. The verification was carried out after the woman approached the university to verify the certificates for applying for a job. A police officer said the registrar’s duty was to verify mark sheets and certificates when students or candidates applied to companies or other institutions. tnn
