Vadodara: Police on Thursday arrested a woman, Sangita Mahida, who allegedly stole jewellery worth Rs 62,000 from a shop in the Chhani area on Wednesday afternoon.A complaint of theft had been registered at Fatehgunj police station after a search began. Mahida, a resident of Anand, was nabbed based on a tip-off and stolen jewellery was allegedly recovered from her possession.In Feb, a woman who allegedly committed thefts in various states was nabbed by Gorwa police from the hostel of GMERS Hospital in Gotri. Police said Deepti Singh was trying to find a target in the hostel. She had allegedly committed thefts in a hospital in Delhi prior to her arrest.
