“I am returning to Delhi with the faith that I have to come to Bengal again during BJP’s oath taking ceremony, after May 4. With this feeling, my enthusiasm increases manifold,” the Prime Minister said today from his last public rally in the industrial belt of Barrackpore’s Jagatdal.
The experience in Bengal, during rallies and roadshows, seems like a spiritual journey for the last few months, he noted. BJP candidate Rajesh Kumar is fighting in Jagatdal, who is a former IPS officer.
“From the last few decades I have travelled across the country in various responsibilities and election responsibility was part of the exercise. I don’t see whether it is day or night and whatever the weather conditions or season are,” Modi said in his last poll rally in North 24 Parganas district’s Jagatdal.
“Since the time I have left home, I feel happy when I come and meet you people. You people are my family now. In all the running around, it is natural that I get tired. But this time, I did feel the exhaustion despite so many rallies and roadshows while running across the state. After the end of the roadshow, people were still waiting for me. In the helipad, I have witnessed the same scenario. The roadshows have been like Tirtha Yatra for me. I am reaching the Ma Kali bhakts and as if she was blessing me,” Modi said.
“The unconditional love of “Janta Janardan” have been reflected in the eyes of people. The love that reflects in the eyes of the children, sisters and daughters, elderly people and many others, does not go away and makes it difficult to control my emotions. It stays in our mind for a long time,” Modi said.
