A former Cornell University student, identified only as Jane Doe, is suing the university and seven fraternity members, alleging she was drugged and gang-raped over several hours in October 2024 at Cornell’s Chi Phi fraternity house in Ithaca, New York. She was 20 years old at the time.
The lawsuit claims the university failed to protect her and did not take adequate action against those accused.
Doe’s lawyers say only two of the seven men were expelled, while the others received lesser sanctions, including writing essays and attending workshops.
None were arrested.
