Mumbai: A Wadala resident died after he allegedly leapt off a moving train onto a platform to catch up with a friend he had got separated from at Nagpur station on Monday. Nagpur GRP said Aslam Shaikh, a BJP activist, and his friend took a train for Bhusawal in Jalgaon but the two got separated during the rush at the station. They said Shaikh got off the train, lost his balance and fell on the tracks. His family initially raised doubts of foul play. They were shown CCTV footage to show how Shaikh fell. Shaikh’s body is being brought to Mumbai, where his last rites will be performed. TNN
