Bengaluru: Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU) has aced its own game of announcing results immediately after the completion of the examinations. It improved on its record by announcing the results of the sixth semester engineering exam just five minutes after the exam ended.A total of 60,856 students appeared for the BE and BTech sixth semester exams. The exam concluded at 5.30pm Tuesday, and the results were announced at 5.35pm. Compared to previous years, the entire evaluation process of the rest of the papers was completed 21 days earlier. A total of 76.84% pass percentage was recorded.The VTU vice-chancellor, Prof S Vidyashankar, said: “Students wait eagerly for their results. Hence, we decided to announce them as quickly as possible. With proper preparation, we are able to release the results immediately.”A few weeks before, VTU had released the results 10 minutes after the exam.
