The body of a volleyball player, identified as Pratiyush Rai (18), was found in a hostel room at Amitabh Bachchan Sports Complex, under the limits of Colonelganj police station in the city, on Tuesday morning.Fellow players found him lying unconscious in the room and alerted the authorities. He was taken to govt hospital where doctors declared him dead. DCP (City) Maneesh Shandilya told TOI that the body was sent for post-mortem. Further course of action will decided after theb arrival of autopsy report, he said. The boy went to his hostel room after the game on Monday evening. Ghazipur resident Rai underwent volleyball training at the sports complex for the past four years and had played nationals for the state team. His room partner left for his native town last week.
