Gorakhpur: BJP national general secretary and UP assembly polls in-charge Vinod Tawde is expected to arrive in Gorakhpur on Thursday for a two-day organisational review meeting to assess the party’s preparations for the upcoming assembly elections.Regional BJP general secretary Satyendra Sinha said Tawde’s visit will include meetings with senior party leaders and elected representatives to discuss organisational issues and election preparedness.The discussions will cover all 62 assembly constituencies under the party’s regional jurisdiction.Party sources said special attention is likely to be given to constituencies in the Basti and Azamgarh divisions.The Gorakhpur region comprises 10 administrative districts and 12 BJP organisational districts. Tawde’s visit will be his first major review tour of the region since being entrusted with responsibility for the UP assembly elections.Regional BJP president Vinod Rai has already reached Gorakhpur after the programme was finalised.
