Vadodara: Vadodara Gas Limited (VGL) increased retail prices of compressed natural gas (CNG) and domestic piped natural gas (PNG), with effect from 6am on Saturday. The retail price of CNG has been increased by 55 paise per kg, from Rs 85.95 to Rs 86.50 per kg. The price of domestic PNG has been raised by Rs 1 per standard cubic metre (SCM), from Rs 53.74 to Rs 54.74 per SCM.VGL attributed the revision to an increase in natural gas procurement costs and market conditions. The company said it had absorbed the major portion of higher input costs to minimise the burden on consumers and implemented only a limited increase in prices.
