Gandhinagar: On the fifth day of his US tour to promote Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit 2027, chief minister Bhupendra Patel held one-on-one meetings in New York with senior executives of global companies in IT infrastructure, asset management and nuclear technology. The chief minister met senior executives of Kyndryl, BlackRock and Holtec International as part of the investment outreach.An official statement said that during his meeting with Kyndryl, Patel highlighted Gujarat’s growing position as an investment destination for next-generation sectors, including semiconductors, electronics, digital infrastructure, AI, data centres and advanced manufacturing. Kyndryl expressed interest in collaborating with the state govt on AI strategies, knowledge-sharing and skilling programmes for students and startups, besides providing mentorship, the statement added.In his meeting with BlackRock executives, the chief minister discussed opportunities for the company to expand its presence in Gujarat, particularly in exchange-traded funds (ETFs) and asset management. He highlighted Gujarat International Finance Tec-City (GIFT City)’s world-class financial ecosystem and its potential to emerge as a global hub for asset management and ETFs.Patel’s meeting with Holtec International focused on nuclear technology and manufacturing. Holtec, which provides fuel storage solutions for nuclear power plants, has already established a precision fabrication facility in Gujarat to cater to the growing demand for air-cooled condensers and expanded the facility in 2025. The company expressed interest in setting up manufacturing facilities for small modular reactors (SMRs) and a research and development centre in Gujarat, the statement said.
