Udaipur: A van carrying school students rammed into the rear of a truck parked on the roadside on the Dahod route in Banswara Wednesday, killing a 16-year-old student and leaving seven injured.The accident occurred just before Thikriya, in front of a petrol pump. The van carrying students to St Paul’s School in Theekariya was at high speed, said police. It went out of control and hit the parked truck.Deputy superintendent of police Manish Charan said police have detained the van driver, Nitin Manaria, 29, a resident of Agarpura (Banswara).St Paul School management said arrangements for children’s transport were made by parents and the van involved in the accident did not belong to the school.
