Lucknow: A group of 60 meritorious students from Uttarakhand’s Devprayag, led by MLA Vinod Kandari, visited the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly on Monday.During the visit, the students learnt about the functioning of the House, legislative traditions, and the modern systems adopted by the Assembly.Head Marshal Manish Rai guided the students through the Assembly building and briefed them on legislative proceedings, Question Hour, the law-making process, and various institutional arrangements of the House. The students also toured several important sections of the Assembly complex.The delegation was introduced to the modernization initiatives undertaken by the UP Assembly, including the use of digital technologies and the implementation of the e-Vidhan system. MLA Vinod Kandari said that familiarizing students with the functioning of key democratic institutions helps develop an understanding of democratic values and constitutional governance.Describing the visit as informative and inspiring, the students shared their experiences and said the tour had enhanced their understanding of the legislative process and democratic institutions.
