Ganderbal: The annual Urs Mubarak of Hazrat Baba Daryadin (R.A.) was observed with religious fervour and devotion at Baba Daryadin Nagbal area of central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district, with a large number of devotees from Ganderbal and adjoining areas participating in the religious gathering.
The annual Urs is observed every year at the revered shrine, where devotees gather to offer prayers and seek blessings. The occasion also witnessed night-long prayers and religious programmes, with the shrine witnessing a steady flow of devotees throughout the observance.
Men, women, children and elderly devotees from different parts of Ganderbal district and neighbouring areas participated in the congregation. The gathering reflected the deep religious and spiritual significance attached to the shrine and the legacy of Hazrat Baba Daryadin (R.A.) among the local people.
As part of the arrangements, free Langar was organised for the devotees attending the Urs. The facility provided meals to visitors and participants during the religious gathering.
Ulema and Imams who addressed the gathering spoke at length about the life and teachings of Hazrat Baba Daryadin (R.A.), highlighting his religious services, spiritual contribution and dedication towards the preaching and service of Islam.
The speakers urged devotees to follow the teachings of the revered Sufi saint and emphasised the importance of faith, brotherhood, compassion and service to humanity.
The J&K Waqf Board made arrangements for the smooth and peaceful conduct of the annual Urs. Necessary facilities were put in place for devotees visiting the shrine, while arrangements were maintained to ensure that the religious congregation was conducted without inconvenience.
The annual Urs concluded with prayers for peace, prosperity and well-being, as devotees from different areas continued to visit the shrine to pay their respects and participate in the religious observances.
