Noida: The Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation Limited (UPPCL) has introduced QR codes on electricity bills, enabling consumers to easily update their contact details — including mobile numbers, emails and WhatsApp — directly from the bill.DISCOM announced that consumers can scan two QR codes at the bottom of their bills. These link to a dedicated webpage for updating contact details to ensure streamlined communication and better service delivery. The first QR code enables users to add their mobile numbers, WhatsApp contacts and email addresses. Upon scanning, users enter their unique connection number to view their linked details. A one-time password (OTP) is then generated to verify identity and complete the update. The second QR provides a platform for consumers to verify their existing contact details and make changes, if necessary.“Residents are encouraged to take advantage of this new feature to keep their contact information up to date, ensuring they receive all important communications from the department,” said Sanjay Kumar Jain, chief engineer, Noida power department, PVVNL.Alternatively, a consumer can update their details online on the UPPCL Consumer Services portal.
