Kupwara, Oct 01 : A two-year-old boy died after he accidentally fell into a water tub at his home in Qalamabad area of Handwara in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district on Thursday, officials said.
An official told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that the child was hospitalised after he accidentally fell into a water tub at his home in Qalamabad.
He said the child was shifted to NTPHC Qalamabad, where he was undergoing treatment since yesterday. He was later shifted to a hospital in Srinagar, where he succumbed to his injuries today. He was identified as Shahnaz Shafat (02), son of Shafat Ahmad Reshi, a resident of Qalamabad.
Meanwhile, cognizance of the incident has been taken, while a probe is underway. —(KNO)
