Vadodara: More than three out of every 10 candidates from Vadodara who appeared for the company secretaries professional programme cleared the examination in the June 2026 session, while the pass percentage in the executive programme remained around 24%, according to results declared by the Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) on Tuesday.In Vadodara, 30% of candidates cleared Group 1 and 31.54% cleared Group 2 of the professional programme. In the executive programme, 24.22% cleared Group 1 and 23.60% cleared Group 2.Despite the overall pass rates, Vadodara candidates made a mark in the national rankings. Vanshika Kamlesh Lulla secured All-India Rank 5 (AIR) in the professional programme, while Harshvardhan Brahmankar secured AIR 13 in the executive programme.The city’s professional programme performance was lower than the corresponding Gujarat figures, where 35.92% candidates cleared Group 1 and 33.06% cleared Group 2. In the executive programme, Gujarat recorded pass percentages of 24.44% in Group 1 and 24.25% in Group 2.At the national level, the professional programme recorded pass percentages of 32.69% in Group 1 and 29.49% in Group 2, while the executive programme recorded 17.41% and 22.19% respectively.The next CS executive and professional programme examinations under syllabus 2022 will be held from Dec 21 to 28, 2026. Online submission of enrolment applications will begin from August 26.AIR 5 Vanshika finds her calling in CS, twin brother pursues CAFor Vanshika Kamlesh Lulla, securing All-India Rank (AIR) 5 in the company secretaries professional programme has turned what was once an uncertain career choice into a clear professional ambition.A second-year BCom student at M S University, Vanshika said she was initially not particularly interested in pursuing CS as a career. Her perspective changed after she secured exemptions in three subjects. As she progressed to the professional level, she began enjoying the course and eventually set her sights on excelling in it.Vanshika’s father Kamlesh runs a men’s garment retail business in Vadodara, while her mother Ria Lulla is a homemaker.Interestingly, her twin brother Vansh is pursuing a very different but closely related professional path. He has cleared the CA intermediate examination and is currently undergoing articleship while pursuing his second-year BCom studies.The twins studied together until Class 10 at Bright Day School before moving to Royal High School, Ajwa.For Vanshika, the family now has a rather distinctive professional combination — a sister pursuing CS and a brother pursuing CA.She plans to complete her CS qualification, build a career with a listed company and eventually explore opportunities abroad. She is also keen on the international recognition of the CS qualification and sees global opportunities as part of her longer-term career plans.Father lost to cancer when he was four, Harshvardhan secures AIR 13 in CSWhen Harshvardhan Brahmankar lost his father to cancer at the age of four, his family faced an uncertain future. Nearly two decades later, the M S University student has secured All-India Rank (AIR) 13 , turning a difficult childhood into a story of academic achievement.Harshvardhan, currently in the third year of BCom, lives in Sayajipura and is the only one in his family currently pursuing the CS qualification.His mother, Rohini Brahmankar, works as a tailor. After his father’s death, Harshvardhan said he was supported by his uncle and grandmother. His grandmother’s pension also helped the family during those years.The journey has now taken him to one of the country’s top ranks in the executive programme. Harshvardhan plans to complete his BCom and continue with the CS qualification before pursuing ACCA. For him, the rank is not the end of the journey but another step towards building a professional career.
