BHOPAL: The family of model-turned-actor Twisha Sharma has raised serious allegations over the surrender of her husband, Samarth Singh, in connection with the case, calling it a “well-planned conspiracy”.Speaking on Singh being taken into police custody, the victim’s brother-in-law, Saurabh Sharma, alleged that the surrender in Jabalpur was strategically planned.“He did something in the process. Earlier, when we were in the high court, he was on bail. He withdrew his bail application and planned his surrender. Before we could go through the case details or the court order could come, he went to the police station and surrendered,” Saurabh Sharma said.He further alleged irregularities during the proceedings at the police station, claiming that there was disorder and that family members were not allowed inside.“There was a lot of indecency going on there. Many lawyers were present and there was chaos. The media was also unable to intervene. None of the family members were allowed inside. He was brought to Katara Hills police station around 2:30 am,” he added.Saurabh Sharma also referred to the court’s permission for a second post-mortem in the case, saying that no final decision has yet been taken on its implementation.“The court has allowed a second post-mortem, but no decision has been made yet. The sooner a committee is formed, the better. It is not yet confirmed whether an AIIMS team will come here or whether the body will be airlifted there. We want the process to be completed as quickly as possible,” he said. The investigation in the case is ongoing.
