A fresh political divide has emerged between US President Donald Trump and Vice President JD Vance over Israel’s upcoming elections. After Trump endorsed Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu for re-election, Vance declined to back any Israeli candidate, saying his focus was on American candidates and the US midterm elections. His remarks have fuelled speculation about differences within the administration over Israel, amid previous disagreements over policy towards Israel and Iran.
