Agartala: Tripura will establish special green corridors across the state to ensure the uninterrupted movement of ambulances carrying emergency patients, CM Manik Saha said.The announcement came amid the state govt’s efforts to strengthen healthcare infrastructure and reduce the need for patients to travel outside Tripura for advanced treatment.Saha said several meetings have taken place to streamline ambulance movement, particularly for patients being brought to Agartala from other parts of the state.“We will establish a green corridor for patients to avoid being caught in traffic jams,” he said.The chief minister said infrastructure upgrades were underway at the state’s primary referral hospitals, with modern medical facilities being added. He added that the number of patients referred outside Tripura had declined significantly and that the govt aimed to bring such referrals down to zero by expanding specialised treatment within the state.Govt is also working to expand digital healthcare services in hospitals. Saha said several hospitals already offered digital services, while the addition of new intensive care units and central sterile supply departments would further strengthen medical care.
