Kolkata: Some film fraternity friends and well-wishers of actor Rahul Banerjee will take to the streets to demand justice for him on Saturday. The walk will begin from Technicians’ Studio at 4 pm and conclude at Radha Studio.The primary objectives are to call for a thorough probe into lapses in safety during the shooting that led to his death and to advocate for fair compensation for his bereaved family. The signatories include Aparna Sen, Anirban Bhattacharya, Anjan Dutt, Indraadip Dasgupta, Srijato Bandyopadhyay, Jishu Sengupta, Parambrata Chattopadhyay, Srijit Mukherji, Arindam Sil, Rana Sarkar, Sourav Das, Swarup Biswas, Piya Sengupta, Sourav Palodhi, Badsha Moitra, Rudranil Ghosh, Kaushik Ganguly, Subhasree Ganguly, Ridhima Ghosh, Srabonti Chatterjee, Kanchan Mallik, Raj Chakraborty, Gourab Chakraborty, Ankush Hazra, Sohini Sarkar, Koushik Sen, Riddhi Sen, Anirban Chakrabarti, Payel Sarkar, Q, Ranjan Ghosh, Joyraj Bhattacharya, Indrasish Acharya, Surangana Bandopadhyay, and others.The signatories have requested Federation of Cine Technicians of Eastern India, Eastern India Motion Picture Association, West Bengal Motion Picture Artists Forum, and all TV serial producers to give a three-hour suspension of shooting schedules on that day to allow participation of all artistes and technicians.Sil told TOI, FCTWEI is also involved in this.
