He was verbally terminated in 1999.Following his appeal, Madras high court ordered his reinstatement in 2000, though his service was regularised only in 2003. Despite explicit high court orders directing the transport corporation to settle the Rs 16 lakh dues, it delayed payment.Kennedy subsequently filed an execution petition before the principal labour court in Coimbatore. Taking a stern view of the non-compliance, the judge ordered the seizure of a public transport vehicle. On Monday, court staffers intercepted a TNSTC bus operating on the Coimbatore–Mettupalayam route and seized it.
